Boston Terrier Club of Western Washington (BTCWW)

Agility Trial - April 17th  & 18th,  2004

Grace’s Run’s

This was an indoor trial at Auburn Washington on dirt.  Al and Grace were entered in both the Std. and JWW events on both days.  600 runs per day, two rings.

Saturday Novice Std.

Grace has decided that she only wants to run on Heather’s left side, and that has been a huge problem for her.  We have been working on getting her to work on both sides, and she has made some progress, although she still tries to sneak over to the left if you give her an opening.  Heather's objective was to get Grace to work on her right, do the chute, and the tire, and to not bail off the A frame.

As it turned out, Grace wouldn't do a down on the cold table and Heather decided to move onto the course rather than torture her at the table.  Otherwise it was a nice run!  She did everything that was asked, and was happy to run!!

Saturday Novice JWW

Grace coming off a first place and a Q in her last JWW run, was looking for more Ribbons and Qs.  She didn't disappoint us, as she had a clean run, and finished with a first place ribbon!!

Sunday Novice Std.

I didn't see this run as I hide in the car most of the time Grace is running!  That way she isn't distracted and knows exactly where I am!  This run was good in that Grace sat on the table, but she had 1 refusal and two table faults.  We'll l only count one table fault though because the first time Grace hit the table she was moving fast enough to land and then continue off the other side!!  Way to go Grace!!

Sunday Novice JWW

Grace is a JWW girl!  She had a nice run, and was very enthusiastic!!  However, she was too enthusiastic about the tunnel after the weave poles, and after 3 or 4 tries at the weave poles before the tunnel (I couldn't see) Heather relented, and Grace happily went on to the tunnel she so desired!, and completed a  nice run with a Happy dance!!  No ribbons, but a nice run with good focus.
